Many years ago, five hard working European sausage makers founded the Storer Meat Company in Cleveland, Ohio. We began manufacturing and processing meat and deli products under the “Five Star Brand” name in 1967. The Five Star Brand name was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio with the time honored recipes that these men brought to the U.S.A. Cleveland has always been our home and that is why we refer to our brand as Cleveland's Own Five Star Brand!

Storer Meat Company is still locally owned and operated by one of the original families. Ludwig Gutwein is the only founder that has always held a vested interest. Today, the company operates under the direction of his son, Robert. As a second generation owner, "Five Star" Bob joined the family business after graduating from Cleveland State University in 1981. The passion and pride that has fueled the entrepreneurial spirit since inception continues in the family legacy as each product is still handcrafted in small batches. All of our meat items are produced in accordance with federal inspection regulations.
